Plant with decorative leaves with red veins on the upper surface and deep scarlet spots, on te back side of he leaf. It can grow flowers but with small ornamental value. It can climb up but is usually small and suffuses.Its leaves spread out at night,so it is known as ''the prayer''. Maranta needs moderate filtered light the most of the time, as much as possible in light leaves will turn black and fade in its edges. Abudant watering in summer and moderate in winter.Let the soil to be dry between two watering actions, but not apsolutely dry. Maranta thrives in a high moisture and can withstand tempetures up to 15 degrees Celsius.
