Indoor plant with lance-shaped, heart-shaped dark green leaves about 30cm. long. Flowers are heart-shaped, up to10cm. in size, usually red but also in various colors such as white, pink, yellow, and spikes of orange or red. If conditions are favorable, the anthurium blooms all year round and has a long lifespan. Typically, flowering is more abundant in spring and summer, mainly because during these seasons the plant receives bright light for more hours than in winter. Generally, the anthurium prefers to be in a spot that gets the most light, but always filtered and not in direct sunlight. It requires bright, warm, and humid spaces. You should avoid placing it in areas with large temperature fluctuations or drafts of cold air, such as near balcony doors, radiators, or devices like televisions that produce heat. Its favorite temperature is consistently 15-18 °C.
