Herbaceous perennial plant with sprawling branches and ground-covering growth. It has beautiful dark purple or white flowers in clusters with a characteristic vanilla fragrance. It thrives in fertile soils with good drainage and sunny locations. It does not tolerate temperatures below 7°C and therefore needs protection on cold winter days.
