Evergreen shrub with spherical shape. Its leaves are large, green with bright yellow spots. Its height reaches up to 2m and its diameter up to 1.50m. The female plants bear many red shiny berries that remain on the plant till the end of winter. Aukuba Japonica is a hardy plant that prefers semi-shaded or shaded locations. It can be planted individually, in pots, window boxes, groups, clusters and fences. It can withstand temperatures down to -15°C.
