Evergreen plant of the Mediterranean flora that reaches a height of 3 to 4 m and a diameter of 2 to 3 m. Its leaves are glossy and in winter they turn red shades. It bears bell-shaped white flowers and striking red fruits. Ideal for sunny and partly shaded areas. It is planted in gardens, rock gardens, and hedges. It can withstand temperatures down to -5 degrees.
