Portulaca invited a small group of creeping annual plants. The Portulaca grandiflora, (commonly nychaki) plant resistant to the sun, is a popular species endemic to Brazil. The stems lie horizontally, reaching 10 or 12 cm. In length and are clothed with cylindrical, opodi leaves filled juices. At the ends of the stems bloom quite a few large flowers, up to 2.5 cm. Diameter. They appear in a range of bright, beautiful colors: the Blavet purple, fire red, yellow and pink rose is just some of them. There are varieties with single and double flowers. Portulaca has low resistance to temperatures below 0°C.
