Aptenia cordifolia

It is a perennial, creeping herb with a fast growth rate that does not exceed 0.2m. in height and 2m. in diameter. Its leaves are trihedral, shiny and fleshy in a bright green color. Its flowers are usually fuchsia in color, but there is also another variety that produces flowers with a yellow or whitish color. Its flowering occurs in spring and can last until the end of autumn. Bouzi belongs to succulents, which is why it is particularly resistant to drought and high temperatures. It prefers sandy, fluffy soils with good drainage and does not need much watering. Due to its creeping form, it is used for ground covers or in rock gardens. It can also be used in coastal plantings.
