Stevia in the wild state in the native environment is a perennial plant that grows in sandy, low fertility soils on the edges of rivers and streams. This shows that there is a very demanding plant on growth conditions. No pruning is about 60 cm tall. The needs of a territory is quite limited so any mixture of potting neutral or slightly acidic appropriate. Stevia is a tender plant that does not withstand the winter cold. In northern countries is grown as a one-year, but in countries like Greece can be grown as a tender perennial with a little protection during winter days with lower temperatures can survive throughout the year.
